Faith Flowers Greeting Card Collection:
In 2008, I began an art therapy project- painting a large mural of an overgrown garden in the hallway of the children's ministry area at my church. When I began the project, I knew the walls were in need of repair. My efforts just pushed out those repairs and tried to add a little beauty for the kids. Due to my chronic health condition, it took me eight years to actually complete the hallway. Two years later, it was time to renovate. The walls were finally repaired, but the flower garden could not be salvaged. White paint soon covered the walls.
I don't share this story with any regrets. Those eight years were therapeutic for me, and the paintings lasted longer than some art forms like wedding cakes! The collection of photos I now have of my flower garden, I call my Faith Flowers Collection.
The definition of 'faith' is, "the reality of what is hoped for, the proof of what is not seen," (Hebrews 11:1).
Even though I can no longer see the flowers, I spent eight years intimately connected with those walls through every brushstroke. I am certain that there are glorious flowers still alive under those layers of white paint.
So, while my Faith Flowers are no longer on display, I do have the evidence of their existence in greeting card form.

Nobody enjoys suffering. Yet, creation around us role models a seed surrendering its protective shell to sprout roots and a shoot to eventually bloom into something brand new and beautiful.
Oftentimes, hardships can create the perfect soil for us to surrender our time, talents, and treasures in exchange for something greater-- our ashes for God's beauty.
